Intro to Cut Flower Gardening

at the Education Center at Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens
Join Wyatt Emig, MCBG Horticulturist, in planning your own cut flower garden. From the beginning stages to harvest, Wyatt will share tips for success. Learn about soil preparation, seed ordering, watering/irrigation, pest management, cutting, and crafting arrangements. By the end of this hands-on workshop, you should have the skills to start planning for your next cut flower garden. Be prepared to spend some time indoors and outdoors in the cut flower garden near the MCBG Vegetable Garden.
THE DETAILS
- Please come prepared to wear your mask indoors.
- The class will include indoor instruction and hands-on time in the Cut Flower Garden. Be prepared for the weather with appropriate layers.
- Bring pruners (if available), a pencil and paper, comfortable shoes, and a curious mind.
