2021 'Botanical Benefits' Program
Children's Fund announces new program with “Botanical Benefits"
The Mendocino Coast Children’s Fund (MCCF) is providing 200 local families with memberships to the Botanical Gardens.
MCCF's “Botanical Benefits” program will increase access to the healing power of nature for our community’s hard-working underserved families in a safe and beautiful space. The memberships will be distributed through MCCF partners including local schools, agencies, and programs serving underserved communities. Families for this program will be selected from the geographical area of Westport to Elk and inland to Comptche. As with all MCCF programs, families are chosen confidentially by professional medical and school staff.
By joining together, MCCF and the Gardens hope to expand this program so that more children can chase butterflies and smell flowers. The initiation of the Botanical Benefits program was made possible through the support of MCCF donors and the Community Foundation of Mendocino County. You can support these efforts by donating to either the Mendocino Coast Children’s Fund or the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, please mark "Botanical Benefits" on your donation.
Mendocino Coast Children's Fund is the oldest grassroots, nonprofit advocate for low income and at risk children in Mendocino County. From Westport to Gualala (and inland to Comptche), the volunteer-run organization provides children with essentials and necessities, hopes and dreams, opportunities and activities.
