INTRODUCTION
Membership dues comprise a major part of our operating budget. The generous support of our members helps us to...
Keep the Gardens Growing Fund new gardens, maintain existing ones, and promote conservation efforts.
Educate Children and Adults Education programs, tours, interpretive signs, workshops and lectures help enhance a greater awareness and knowlege of plants and nature.
Provide an Information Resource A place for home and professional gardeners to ask questions, get new ideas, and learn new techniques.
Preserve Rare Plants and Endangered Habitats Restoring the salmon and steelhead runs in Digger Creek is now a reachable goal as the Gardens takes a leading role in conservation efforts in our region.
GARDENS DONATIONS
Your donation supports the great work the Gardens does every day of the year. It allows us to improve our collections and signage, host educational groups at no charge, and strengthen our internship program. Past donations have funded a number of special projects including:
- Restoration of our historic farmhouse, which houses our internship program
- Improvements to our trails
- Equipment purchases
- Restoration of Digger Creek, which is home to two federally threatened species — steelhead and California red-legged frog
- Expanding our education program
Please consider investing in the Gardens today. We pride ourselves on our efficiency, and we use volunteers whenever and wherever possible. For example, we have only four full-time gardeners to cover 47 acres! We could not manage the Gardens without our 150+ volunteers. We appreciate your support and we promise to utilize your donation as wisely as possible.
