Friends of the Gardens Wine Raffle!

Friends of the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens (FOG) is again holding their raffle with prizes of Wines of Mendocino County. The grand prize is four cases of Mendocino County wine, everything from Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon to Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, and more. That's enough wine to stock your own wine cellar, or for gifts all through the holidays! Last year eight (8) winning tickets were drawn, this year we hope to award 10 winners.

Last year the FOG Wine Raffle raised over $10,000 for water system upgrades and improvements for the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, and we are hoping this year's wine raffle will be even more successful. This year's raffle will support the Gardens' Interpretive Signage project- with your help, the Gardens will improve visitor experience for members and guests with updated and new interpretive and directional signage throughout the Gardens.

Previous FOG donations to the Gardens include:

  • A new Husqvarna lawn mower
  • Electric carts for use by visitors to the Gardens
  • The new plaza/entrance to the Gardens
  • Improvements to the Gardens' library
  • Restrooms on the Gardens' bluffs

How much are the tickets? Tickets are available for a donation of $5 each or six for $25.

When is the drawing? The drawing will be held on November 2, 2010.

What can I win? The grand prize winner will receive four cases of fine Mendocino County wine. The other nine winners will receive smaller assortments of donated wines. The exact amounts are uncertain because we are still collecting the wines from the wineries; we are hoping that all winners will receive at least one case of wine.

Do I have to be present to win? No, winners will be contacted from information on each ticket.

Where can I get my hands on the tickets? Tickets can be picked up at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens Store at 18220 N. Hwy One, Fort Bragg, CA, or by contacting the Wine Raffle coordinators at 707-357-4272.

Can I only get six tickets? No- you can get as many tickets as you want. The more tickets you get the better your chances of winning!
