The Arts Council of Mendocino County and the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden announce "Paint-Out at the Gardens" Plein Air Painting Contest on Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Garden in Fort Bragg. Artists will paint on site one of the many vistas in the 47-acre garden for the chance to win cash prizes. The contest will take place from 10 am to 3 pm. Judging will be announced at 4 pm. The paintings will be for sale immediately after the judging, with a portion of the sales to benefit the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden and the Arts Council of Mendocino County.
The "Paint Out' will be a wonderful opportunity to see plein air artists creating their master pieces right before your eyes.

Early registration is by October 2, 2009 (note that early registration saves $5). The early registration fee is $15 for current members of the Arts Council of Mendocino County or $20 for non-members. After October 2nd fees increase to $20 for Arts Council members or $25 for non-members.
